CHRISTMAS EVE 0

Santastic

There are MANY Christmas traditions in my house. My mom makes gingerbread houses, decorates the house, and makes an assortment of homemade Christmas candies. It’s all pretty amazing. All of the excitement has escalated with the recent addition of my niece and nephew. They are excited about every part of all that is going on for the holidays. On Christmas Eve we always attend the candlelight service at my home church. Then the whole family head to my parent’s house where we open some of our presents. Ever since we were kids we have been allowed to open the “Kid’s Gifts”. In other words, I get to open the presents from my brother and sister, and they get to do the same…To view all of my family’s Christmas card photos since 1980, click here and check out my brother’s recent post. Have a great Christmas.

PRIMER 0

Primer Movie
Over Christmas break I picked up the movie “Primer” after a recommendation from my brother, Zack. It is a great indie film, made on a $7,000.00 budget. Shane Curuth is an amazing story teller and has managed to actually make a very original film. One of my all-time favorite films is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”. This film is reminiscent of “Eternal Sunshine” in it’s originality and character development. Don’t expect to fully understand either film in one viewing. “Primer” actually requires thinking. It does not spell out every single detail of the plot through poor diologue like, “I guess I am just feeling vulnerable because my husband has walked out on me and father left us when I was young”. There are vital plot details that are not verbalized or emphazsized in any way. If you appreciate good stories and orginality, you will love Primer. If you apprecaite “The Lake House” and “Gigli”, you will hate it.

At first play, these strings deliver a great feel and a nice tone. At second play, they break.
