Trutech = Terrible

Kristin and I love movies. Going to the movies, renting movies, talking about movies, anything “movies” really. So, naturally we decided to purchase a DVD player not long after we were married. We tried to make the eeconomical choice and get a cheap DVD player. So we went to Target and spent a whopping $25.95 on the latest in TruTech technology. I should have known that we had made a bad decision when I picked up the box and literally thought that it was just an empty display box (because it was so light). So we get up to the register and the cashier says to me, “Would you like to purchase the Target Tech Guarantee?” “What’s the Target Tech Guarantee?” I say. “It’s a one-time payment of $29.95 that guarantees if anything goes wrong with something from our technology department, we’ll replace it with the same model for free.” I then politely remind the cashier that, “The DVD player only costs $25.95, so I could replace it with the same one for $4.00 less than the warranty by just buying a whole new DVD player.” He concedes and quietly bags my latest investment.
So, we get home and borrow a burned (copied) DVD from a friend. The DVD player skips constantly to the point where we have to stop the movie altogether. Kristin and I determine that the machine is just a bit fussy and that it doesn’t read copied discs all that well. Until a few nights later when we pop in a newly purchased DVD and it does the same thing. Then, we decide to try the season 1 disc of “The Office”. This time, the DVD player says, “Loading”…..”Loading”…..”Loading”…..and then shuts off.

I am very concerned about us jordan. This image is a little disturbing…i am going to be honest…
NOT disturbing! acurate.
lol…i miss you guys, and i LIKE the new blog-over (that’s blog + make-over). I made it up.
oh yeah, and I’m never coming to visit because of the snake.
It appears in the picture that the dvd player is levitating(sp?), maybe it is possessed!
no i think we are possessed for reading jordan and kristins blog every day or would that be obsessed (sp?)
It would be obsessed….AND let me assure you that Kristin is usually anti-blog…
I would like to inform all blog readers that if anyone ever accuses Jordan of having any help from me on his blog… that he might hang himself because he considers blogging to be one of his only talents that he accomplishes on his own. So Tammie…unless you want me to be widower soon, cut it out!
I accomplish all of my talents on my own.
