24 – Season 5
Just finished watching 24, season 5. It is definitely the best season so far. I have to be honest…Season 4 was great, but it got a little slow in the middle. Season 5 has been non-stop since the beginning. Its got me really excited for season 6. Here are some season 5 thoughts and observations:
- Jack Bauer / Frank Flinn is the man.
- Buchanan is probably the best CTU director to date.
- President Logan is unbelievably reprehensible.
- I miss President Palmer.
- Season 5 has the most interesting and intricate plot.
- Kim wasn’t in this season enough to do anything too stupid.
- I really like Aaron Pierce.
- Jack always yells into his cell phone…I’ve never understood why he doesn’t keep it on “silent”.
- 4 people I really liked died in this season.
- Jack works best “on a provisional basis.”
- The last hour…WOW.

Definitely the best season yet! I have never been so addicted to any tv series since… I don’t know when! I mean I love the office but it is more of a leisurely sitcom. Now I must wait for season 6 to come out on dvd:/
I was pretty addicted to Boy Meets World.
Saved by the Bell……
Amen Shaunie boy! What Shaun did not know was that I had first written a comment (I then decided to extract it) about the comparing Saved by the Bell to “the love of my life” 24 (sorry Jordan).
On another note… Jordan and I were discussing just the other day what terribly cheesy acting & story plots were displayed in Saved by the Bell. Sadly, to this day if I ketch a glimpse of SBTB I have to watch the episode. Zach Morris still has my heart and he has the biggest cell phone known to man! I will forever be Kelly Kapowski:)

“I’m so excited! I’m so excited! I’m so…..SCARED!” – Jesse “Hot Mama” Spano
When that punk soap opera moron stole Kelly from Zach…so sad – and he still danced with her at (outside) the prom that night. What a stand up guy, that Zach Morris. He was all crying while Michael Bolton’s “How Am I Supposed to Live without You” played in the background. Heart-wrenching.
And when everyone’s favorite obsessive-compulsive, neurotic, boyfriend-abusing Jessi got hooked on No-Doze…WOW. No television show had ever attempted such a gritty, real-life portrayal of the perils of teenage drug addiction.
And what about when Zach and the gang (minus Jessi and Kelly and plus Tori) had a little too much to drink at the toga party and wrecked daddy’s car?
What about Mr. Belding irresponsible, though fun-loving brother who ditched the kids at the last minute for a stewardess, leaving the kids with the realization that Mr. Belding really did care?
Or what about when Zach’s dad is ignoring him for his own awesome giant cell phone, and Zach lashes out by getting an actor to pretend to be his father. In the end, Zach and his father are talking, and his dad keeps taking calls. Finally, Zach calls his dad (from the same room) on his own totally awesome over-sized cell phone:
Mr. Morris: “Hello?…Zach??”
Zach: “Dad, is this the only way I can talk to you?”
Then they go fishing together. That’ll teach Zach to lie and hire an actor to illegally impersonate his father.
Saved by the Bell was real television. Real drama. Real heartache.

My favorite part of the outside prom is that Zach is supposed to sing and AC is supposed to play drums, but at the last minute they get one of the “geeks” who’s dressed up like a mummy to play the drums instead…That dude rocked…No practice, didn’t even tell him what song. He just clicked it off and rocked it.

Okay so the whole computer lingo that Zach and Jordan comment back and forth on this blog often loses me.(What can I say I’m Beth’s cousin!)
However, Saved By the Bell just happens to be something I know a little about! I have to say that these blog comments are the most enjoyable ones yet!
