Cited
Sarasota meter-maids are citation happy. I just ran downtown to grab a slice of pizza on my lunch break. I was about to pull out of my spot when I noticed a small yellow envelope under my windshield wiper. It was a citation for an expired license tag. Examine the citation and see if you can find just how outdated it was. Yikes. Well, add $25.00 to my lunch bill.

It never fails…It never fails…
You know who really never fails Kristin? Jesus. That’s right, Jesus. In other news, does Sarasota employ “the boot” on unpaid tickets? You gotta watch out for that thing.
I would definitely regret the $25 fine for being too cheap/busy to deposit 25 cents in the parking meter, but I also boast that after nearly 10 years of driving in Montgomery, Al., I have never “fed” the meter.
I have parked illegally at least 200 times – a 4:1 win for Bobby.
I do, however, fully expect a fine next time after posting this arrogant reply.
Bobby – The citation was for a expired license plate…Not for a meter…We actually don’t have meters yet. A bill just passed to put them in by 2011. Fail.
Do you keep a count of the number of tickets you have received??? Just curious! Could we have a guessing game as to how many there have been?? Starting with March 26th 2002 your 16th b-day.
FYI: Jordan doesn’t consider this to be a ticket but “Parking Citation”.
This is my thing no matter what it is called if you have to pay the city or county for a mistake you still made a FAIL.
What’s more impressive is if you can remember your win to fail ratio. Props to Bobby on the 4:1 odds computation. I believe that I am about 2:1 in the ticket department. I have been pulled over roughly 20 times and have suffered the burden of “the man” about 10. I am sure Jordan’s is equally as impressive. And no, a “parking citation” does not equate itself to an actual ticket. I never factor mine in!
Oh Jordan… You and your Sarasota antics, when will they ever stop?
kristin, you poor thing.
violation
citation
ticket
call it what you want… they are all virtually the same thing.
