The Road Ahead 7

road

As many of you know, I resigned as worship pastor of Victory at Sarasota in June of this year.  Since then, Kristin and I have been traveling and leading worship for various churches, camps, and other ministries.  We have spoken with a lot of great churches and sought counsel from friends and family.  We are excited about the road ahead and more importantly, the people with whom we will travel it.

I recently accepted an opportunity to join my good friend Jason Burns at Access: a Church Community in Lakeland, Florida.  I began leading worship at Access today.  For the time being, Kristin and I will remain in our home here in Sarasota.  Kristin will continue to work at Starbucks and I will split time working from home and commuting to Lakeland.

In addition to working with Access, I will also be involved in some worship-related projects outside of the church. I will write more on that as it all falls into place.

I will also continue to travel and lead for other churches, special events, and nights of worship.  Feel free to email me if you’re interested in putting something together.

I decided to begin blogging again since this is such a time of transition and reflection.  I am going to try and use this as a place to communicate my thoughts about life, ministry, and worship.  Hopefully you will continue to join me here for some great stories and conversations.  I would also love to connect with you on Twitter or Facebook.

Thanks for your love and support.

Jordan.

Family Staycation 5

Saturday Kristin and I headed over to Palatka for the Green Family staycation…You may be wondering what a staycation is. It’s when everyone takes a vacation together but doesn’t really go anywhere. Anyway, it was nice because we have two new nephews (Kristin’s sister is adopting) that we got to meet for the first time. I would like for you to note the striking resemblance between Kayden and Kiefer Sutherland.

Kayden also enjoys breaking protocol…Just like Jack Bauer. Anyway, the little look-alike wasn’t the only entertainment for the weekend. We also had the Blue Monster and the Aqua Tunnel. Two giant inflatable water slides.

We also played a rousing round of “Family Feud”. My team lost but I’m almost positive it was rigged. Highlight of the trip for me was when I pulled my mother in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, cousin-in-law, and wife in the pool. A wave of strength came over me and I simply couldn’t be stopped. Not even by the impenetrable wall of a human being that is our cousin Lenon. The staycation was a huge success. And as you can see…Kristin and I finally got another camera which means good things for the blog.

She Looks Like a Million (star)Bucks! 17

Starbucks

Today was Kristin’s first day of work at Starbucks. Apparently it was just a one hour introduction/staff meeting. She’ll be working a couple days a week at the Starbucks on University and Tuttle. You should go see her!

Tanti Giorno! 7

The fam and I enjoyed the outlets and some Carrabba’s for my birthday. We also swung by Siesta to give Andrew his first beach experience.
