Last night Kristin and I went on our first “just the two of us” date since Isabella was born. We’ve been lots of places with Bella. We’ve taken her to several movies, traveled to multiple states, and even flown with her. She’s a great baby but she’s definitely passed the phase of sleeping through movies in the theater. She’s definitely found her voice. In fact, her new thing is screaming. She loves to scream. She’s not even mad. She just screams because she likes the way it sounds. So our good friend Jerrica came over and watched Bella while Kristin and I went to Bone Fish and saw The Social Network. Our meal was fantastic and we loved the movie! This is why we couldn’t take Bell:

Isabella is still a good seven months away from celebrating her first birthday but these two pictures were taken exactly one year apart. They grow up so fast!

Today was our first day at our new location and it was absolutely fantastic! It really couldn’t have been better. Loved the energy from the combined service, the sound was fantastic, the band played amazing, and the Jason knocked it out of the park. Great day! Here are the songs we played and a few iPhone pics of the new room. They were both taken before service. I’ll get some better ones up at some point.

Oh – Funny side note. The YMCA where we’ve been having services for the last two years had NO POWER at all this morning. Good thing we moved today!

Almost three years ago my grandmother gave Kristin and I a car. We still have it and I drive it everyday. About a year and a half ago I was opening the driver’s side door and a huge piece of the handle broke off in my hand. It stayed like that for quite a while and at the time it was our primary car. Luckily my friend and drummer, Chris, fixed it.

Fast forward to yesterday. Chris was at lunch with us and we somehow got on the topic of him having to fix that door handle. So we drive home from Steak n’ Shake and I go to get Bella out of the back seat. The back door handle breaks off in my hand. Looks like Chris has another job to do.

A couple days ago Kristin and I were looking back through all of our FlipCam video over the last four months. Thanks to the FlipCam we pretty much film Bella like she’s a reality TV star. Going back through it all I’m really glad we did. So I did what any good, sappy father would do and I edited it all together to a John Mayer song. Bet you can’t guess which one…
